Jon Tynjala
Jon Tynjala is a business lawyer practicing in the areas of business and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and real estate law. Jon brings a unique and practical perspective to bear in representing startups and closely held businesses and their owners in the formation, operation and development of various business ventures. Jon has been actively involved in numerous merger and acquisition transactions involving stock and asset sales, and tax free reorganizations, including spin-off and split-up transactions.
Jon has represented a number of manufacturing, retail sales and service industry clients as outside general counsel. In that capacity, Jon advises his clients in all matters of corporate structure and governance, business succession planning as well as reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contractual arrangements related to the ownership and governance, operation and management of the business. Jon also provides advice to his clients on issues related to employment, technology licensing, intellectual property rights, commercial leasing as well as equity and bank financing.
Jon has been active in the community throughout his career.
Jon currently serves on several boards and, in the past, served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota Law School’s Kommerstad Center for Business Law and Entrepreneurship.
