Anthony Marick
Anthony Marick’s experience includes all aspects of business and corporate law, from advising start-up ventures to publicly held companies. He assists clients on corporate structure and governance, corporate finance, shareholder and ownership arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, and executive employment and compensation issues. He supervises all aspects of his client’s legal needs, providing advice to clients, their executives and board members. Tony also represents foundations and wealthy families, and has significant experience with related estate planning and wealth management, as well as inter-generational and family business and transition issues.
Tony’s work with emerging and privately held companies includes advice on capital raising efforts (including venture capital and private offerings), as well as appropriate governance arrangements between owners and investors. He has also represented buyers and sellers in many varied merger and acquisition transactions, including asset sales, tax free reorganizations, and acquisitions or divestures of divisions. Tony has spoken numerous times in the Minneapolis media as an expert on buying and selling businesses, private equity, raising capital, dealing with investors, and various sources of capital for the growing business.
In addition to serving as a Corporate Secretary for various clients, Tony has served as an officer, director or advisory board member for a number of corporations and organizations.
Tony currently serves on the Board of Governors of Align, LLC, an emerging technology leader in post-acute transition planning for seniors and senior care providers. He has also been active in the community throughout this career. For over ten years, Tony served on the Planning Commission for the City of Maple Grove, one of the fastest growing suburbs of Minneapolis. He previously served as an adjunct instructor at the Kommerstad Center for Business Law and Entrepreneurship at the University of Minnesota Law School, and Tony played a key role in the development of an enterprise center serving as a business incubator for start-up businesses and providing training and support for businesses and individuals.
